What an honour!. The St David's Care in the Community annual charity dinner was held this year at The Dorchester - some 360 guests paid £150 a head to sit down to a sumptuous dinner, the centre-piece of which was prime Aberdeen-Angus fillet supplied by us.

well, yes - but it's only old news because life moves at it's

own pace up here and we really didn't expect to

get the Trophy any sooner... but now we can tell you that

E R & T Craigie - who supply all our meat

products - are the 2007 winners of the

Taste of Orkney Food Awards, Best Supplier.

The competition is stiff and to win is a huge honour as

it's all judged on public votes.

 

 

Our first Press mention!! And what a way to start!!

Lucas Hollweg visited us at the BBC Good Food Show at Olympia

and, like many who came to our stand, was most interested in the

North Ronaldsay lamb we had with us.

He took some some to try - and it must have been good

for he featured us in the "Style" section of the

Sunday Times on 3 February . You can see his article at

Orkneys Best Ltd went in at the deep end with a launch at the BBC Good Food Show, Olympia in November 2007 where we were one of six producers on the "Orkney" stand.

The Show was a huge success for us, with an insatiable demand for the sausages Thorfinn grilled and non-stop sales of pure-bred Aberdeen Angus meat and North Ronaldsay lamb.
